RED has worked with the Swiss company Probst Maveg for around 18 years, and we have enjoyed both a strong professional relationship and developed a close friendship over the years. So, it was with much anticipation that we began to plan our latest trip to help celebrate its 40th anniversary as a Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) (HCME) dealer.
Our role was to gather content in recognition of this milestone, while visiting two of Probst Maveg’s depots, and some of the proud Hitachi customers in the German and Italian parts of Switzerland. In doing so, we were delighted to join forces with both old and new contacts respectively…
On the first part of the journey from Zurich to Lyss, we enjoyed the company of an old friend, Christoph Spahni, and then the second part of the trip was spent with a new acquaintance, Valentina Wyssen. They both represented Probst Maveg with distinction as they looked after the logistics and introduced us to their cooperative colleagues and hospitable customers.
As a result, we were able to interview enough members of the Probst Maveg team to create three bespoke movies that not only pay homage to the company’s four decades as a HCME dealer, but also celebrate the success of its after-sales service. In addition, we were able to visit two quarrying companies, Alfredo Polti and Steinbruch Mellikon, as well as contractor Otto Scerri (part of the Marti Group – the second largest construction company in Switzerland) to interview their people, as well as photograph and video their machines and sites.
As always, Switzerland never fails to disappoint with its amazing scenery, lovely people and respectful culture. Add to that the hospitality afforded to us by Christoph and Valentina, and we owe them so much for helping us to create such interesting and informative content.
