The RED recruitment marketing team had the opportunity to visit Vanderlande’s offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Pune (India – see respective blog) earlier this year. Our mission was to interview a wide range of local staff for two different types of job vacancy video, as well as creating a recruitment compilation movie for the company’s Asia Pacific region.
A close cooperation
Paul and Glenn spent ten days away in Singapore and Hong Kong, visiting our client’s new office facilities. Both required a variety of new team members to fulfil Vanderlande’s obligations to local customers, such as the on-site teams for the baggage handling systems at Changi and Hong Kong international airports.
We would like to thank our clients from Vanderlande’s Dutch HQ for their help and cooperation in making all of the arrangements and accompanying us on the trip – we couldn’t have done it without them! In addition, we would like to show our appreciation of the HR personnel and of course the interviewees we had the pleasure of working with on location.
Memorable experiences
Everyone was enthusiastic about their job roles, offices and employer, but also conducted themselves in a most professional manner. The most impressive aspects of their cooperation were their patience and willingness to assist us in whatever way possible. They were all a credit to their organisation.
Fortunately, we also had the opportunity to visit the centres of Singapore and Hong Kong as part of our itinerary. We found the former to be an immaculate city, full of interesting places to visit and an incredible array of eateries, with the infamous chili crab from a hawker stall being a highlight.
Meanwhile, the views of Hong Kong Island from the Sky Terrace or of Victoria Harbour from Kowloon will long live in the memory, as well as the local roast goose delicacy.
