For my first RED trip abroad, Netto’s distribution centre on the outskirts of Copenhagen certainly turned out to be an impressive destination. The huge warehouse services more than 530 stores across Denmark and is a hive of activity. We were on site to shoot videos and write case studies for our client Vanderlande, which has installed state-of-the-art logistic automation at the facility.
Our videographer was happy when he saw where we were going to film. There was lots of light in the warehouse, showing off Vanderlande’s solution to best effect on a compact site. For me, it was great to see a system in action after over a year of writing about the company’s vast range of innovative technology. Highlights included watching the warehouse’s six robots build “perfect pallets” with such precision and lightness of touch.

The dedication and expertise of everyone involved really shone through during the filming and interview process. We would also thank Netto for allowing us to have lunch in the rather excellent warehouse canteen!
