One of the most rewarding experiences of gathering content for Vanderlande is visiting customers with an interesting story to tell. BONFIX is one such customer, and in founder and owner, Marcel R. van Buul, the company has an engaging storyteller.
He’s also the perfect host and made us feel instantly at home in the state-of-the-art facility, boasting personal touches such as an amazing canteen environment and an impressive collection of vintage metal wall signs from the world of plumbing.
The Dutch supplier of fittings for sanitary installations and central heating systems has invested in a new distribution centre in Zwolle, The Netherlands, with Vanderlande as its partner of choice for automation.
Founded in 1994, BONFIX is a dynamic, ambitious company serving the plumbing contracting market. Over the past 30 years, it has grown rapidly to become one of the leading players for parts in this sector. And the secret of the company’s success is down to putting its wholesale customers first, as well as the end user, to prioritise the needs of the plumber – “The most important person in our company.”
A highlight of the trip for the RED team was to stay at a hotel that was integrated within the stadium of the local football team, PEC Zwolle. It was also a pleasure to be joined by three of our valued clients, Vicky, Natascha and Jesse, who not only guided us in terms of their requirements, but also provided us with some excellent Dutch hospitality – thank you so much!
