The RED team recently had the pleasure of paying a visit to the Dutch company, De Bondt – or “the business with a family” as the Managing Director Job De Bondt describes it! It was also an honour to meet Job and share in his fascinating story of how the company has evolved over the past 50 years.
Originally established by his parents, De Bondt is now the largest combined haberdashery and yarn wholesaler in Europe. The company’s warehouse used to be an entirely manual operation, but Job decided to invest in a state-of-the-art automated solution (from our client Vanderlande) to successfully increase the efficiency, reliability and capacity of the operation.
This was installed at De Bondt’s existing warehouse in Tynaarlo, near Groningen in 2022 and we were there to create the latest customer reference materials for the World of Vanderlande campaign. Huge thanks to Vicky and Natascha for accompanying us on our mission, and helping us to negotiate Dutch menus and delicacies. We hope to repay the hospitality soon on a UK-based project.
