Learning the art of subsea storytelling for Royal IHC

Our role began with several in-depth interviews, online and in person, with senior figures, including Royal IHC’s product lead, mechanical engineer, product manager, head of construction and commissioning, and the customer’s CEO. To bring the Hi-Traq Jetter story to life, we spoke about their emotions and personal insights, the A-ha! moments, and the pain and the pleasures of the project. Thanks to their openness and enthusiasm, we were able to create a series of chapters for the Royal IHC website, depicting the remarkable journey of the Hi-Traq Jetter, and the adventures and experiences of all those involved.

Challenge
Royal IHC wanted to share the story of its Hi-Traq Jetter, a game-changing subsea vehicle designed and built for a specialist cable installation contractor. But rather than focus on the technology, our client wanted a different approach – putting the spotlight firmly on the people behind the product. Plotting the development of the vehicle, from design, engineering, construction, testing and delivery, the story needed to reflect IHC’s excitement and passion in launching the product, and be relatable and memorable to an audience of employees, customers, and offshore industry experts.
