The beautiful city of Gothenburg has many claims to fame, not least Scandinavia’s largest amusement park. And now it’s home to the region’s first Hitachi ZX350LC-6 with clamshell telescopic arm!
First of a kind
We visited the machine – also the first of its kind in Europe – in June as it worked on site at the children’s hospital in the city. With a maximum reach of 25m below ground level, it’s given owner Kenneth Kolviken a huge advantage over competitors for deep excavation projects.
As well as interviewing Kenneth and operator Patrik Backström, we photographed and filmed the machine at work, as it excavated 10,000m3 of earth to make way for tunnels and pipe systems. Our video has already reached over one million people on Facebook, and the article and photography will be published in HCME’s customer magazine in November.
Thank you!
Thanks to Kenneth and Patrik, and to Claes at Hitachi dealer Delvator, for making us feel so welcome!
