RED’s year in review

What an incredible 2019 it’s been for RED! We look back at another amazing 12 months in South Cave…

Globetrotters

As in previous years, international travel featured heavily for the team this year. Alongside trips to Europe on behalf of our clients, we ventured further afield to locations as varied as Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Indonesia and the USA.

Slightly closer to home were visits to Serbia, Montenegro, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, Spain, the Czech Republic, Romania, Italy and Switzerland! Of course, there was hard work to be done each time as we were travelling to gather materials for a whole host of projects and campaigns!

There’s not enough space to list all our highlights here, but our work with Hitachi for Bauma 2019 (the world’s largest construction machinery trade fair) is definitely worth a mention. As is our involvement in Vanderlande’s global recruitment campaign, as well as the new opportunities for content marketing developed with Yanmar and JLG.

All systems go

Back in the office, we were happy to once again continue our partnership with the Hull Homeless Community Project. We attended the Hymers College careers evening for a second year running and carried out a whole host of CSR activities in support of the local community and the environment.

Along the way, certain members of the RED team achieved personal milestones when Nicole and Matt completed their first full and half marathons respectively. Elsewhere, Paul enjoyed skiing together with his family (for the first time) and taking them to his home country of Northern Ireland (also a first!). There were also new arrivals (of the puppy kind), spectacular summer holidays, sporting triumphs and numerous team outings. Just an average year at RED.

Festive fanfare

And in late December, we saw out the year in style during our annual Christmas meal. This year’s venue was the Cave Bar & Kitchen in South Cave, where the REDs and their partners enjoyed festive fare.

Needless to say, RED wouldn’t be anything without the support, good humour and friendship of all our clients and suppliers. We’d like to say a huge thank you to every one of them for making 2019 such a success.

For now, we wish you all a Merry Christmas with your loved ones, and we’ll see you all again in 2020.
