The RED team has been making the most of the sunny weather and honing their tennis skills – or lack of – at The Tennis Academy, South Cave.
Would Andy Lynch prove to be a winner like his namesake Murray? Or is he no match for Matt? Maybe one of the Kerries is hiding a mean backhand, or Paul’s deep shots will take his opponents by surprise?
There was only one way to find out.
Learning the basics
As novices, the team started learning the basics from coach Carl Hazel.The team was then put through its paces with a set of drills. However, it was only a matter of time before the team would challenge each other to a game of doubles.
All that running around works up an appetite though. It was soon time for the RED army to put down the rackets and head to a local eatery. RED headed to the Triton Inn for some fantastic food and a refreshing drink in the late evening sunshine.
