Guy Woodford, the Editor of Aggregates Business Europe, selected an apt headline to describe our case study on a Bulgarian customer – “Loads of appeal”. This adorned the front cover – along with one of our images of a Hitachi Zaxis-6 excavator – of the July/August 2018 issue of the popular international quarrying industry magazine. In addition, it was supported by a full-page report on Persenk Invest’s marble quarry near Plovdiv.
A beautiful city
The RED team stayed in central Sofia and was able to take in the sights of the beautiful capital city, including the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and sample some fine local cuisine, such as the popular barbecued meat dishes and salads. We all agreed that it is one of the most underrated tourist destinations in Europe.
The local Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) dealer Z&M had made a fine selection of customer for us to visit. The father and son team of Georgi and Ivan Georgiev had purchased two Hitachi medium excavators and two wheel loaders over the previous 12 months. This afforded us the opportunity to photograph Hitachi construction machinery working in unison at a high-quality hilltop marble quarry.
The ideal reward
Our reward for two days’ intensive labour at the picturesque site was a movie, features for our client’s customer magazines – Ground Control (print) and iGround Control (digitial) – stunning photography, social media content and a press release. The icing on the cake recently landed on the RED doormat, with Persenk Invest taking pride of place in one of our most cherished industry publications…
