Five minutes with… Kerrie Bell

It’s time again to meet one of the RED team. This week we decided to quiz Operations Manager, Kerrie Bell.

Describe your typical day

Most weeks I plan and book airline and hotel reservations for our team. I also look after the accounts, liaise with suppliers and take care of any office operations. This can range from choosing a new chair for one of our rooms, to making sure the painters are using the right shade of red for our front door.

I am a dab hand at frothing milk in our fabulous coffee machine too! Every day is a pleasure at RED, so I never really feel as if I am working.

Tell us about some of the highlights from your time at RED

We have had some great team lunches – I especially enjoyed our recent ‘bake off’ for Macmillian. Our RED tennis day was great fun too. I have also been fortunate to welcome clients to our lovely offices and to visit some in The Netherlands.

How would you describe your approach to work?

My approach is flexible, as no two days are ever the same. Our clients are as close to us as friends, and so our conversations are varied. I hope that I also keep the team happy and motivated with my great music choices.

What do you do to relax?

I like to go powerwalking. Working in such a picturesque area, I often take a break at lunchtime and powerwalk around this beautiful village. I also enjoy watching my local football team (North Ferriby United) and spending time with my family.

What advice would you give to someone who’s interested in an agency position?

RED is not like other agencies, so don’t come with any expectations. We are a varied, spontaneous and hardworking team. Be prepared to take on the unexpected, come with an open mind and be a part of our RED family.
