Our work with Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (NV) (HCME) takes us to some unexpected places… like Europe’s first elephant sanctuary, Elephant Haven. Kerrie and Glenn visited the rural site in France in September to cover the delivery of a Hitachi mini excavator. The machine was donated by HCME to help build the facilities on site, as part of its CSR commitments.
While much of our work focuses on the machines of our client, this trip was arguably more about the inspirational people behind the project, from Elephant Haven founders Sofie and Tony, to the staff at HCME and its Dutch dealer, who organised and prepared the excavator for its new home. Following the trip, we’ve prepared press releases, blog updates, a video and magazine article to share news of the project with Hitachi customers.
The first elephants are due to arrive at the sanctuary in 2018 so we’re hoping to be invited back to see how they’re settling in!
