From an early age Nicole loved to read and write. After graduating from University of Sheffield with a degree in Journalism Studies, she went on to work at Press Association alongside Andy. Nicole knew she wanted to work more digitally and build her skills in marketing though, so moved on to become a Web Editor for a medical software company in Leeds. She then spotted the opportunity to work for RED and build on an even wider variety of skills.
Nicole’s biggest passion is travel, so she mixes this with her love for both writing and online marketing in her own travel blog.
Best thing about working for RED
The atmosphere. RED has a family feel to it, and everyone really supports each other and actually enjoys being in the office.
Most interesting assignment
I did some social media algorithm training in Amsterdam in my first week. I found it really valuable and enjoyable.
Favourite RED item
My coffee machine at home is red. It’s a real treat on a Saturday morning to enjoy a cappuccino and pastries for breakfast.
Claim to fame
My Grandad’s maternal side includes world champion motorcycle racer Joey Dunlop OBE. Taylor Swift once high-fived me in the press seats of one of her concerts too, I became a ‘swifty’ after that concert.
Desert island disc
Distant Sun – Crowded House. Or anything by Sara Bareilles!
I don’t think I really have one. Michael Palin was the reason I wanted to write in the first place, so he comes close to being a hero.
